Herald Square bell chime

Standard

Herald Square, a small triangular park tucked between Broadway, Sixth Avenue and 34th Street, is named after Herald Building, which once stood on the north side of the park. The statue on the monument inside the park is taken from the top of the building. Two blacksmiths strike the bell on the hour as Goddess Minerva watches, reminding the busy crowd to take a break and rethink life.
